Reiki was re-discovered by Usui Sensei in Japan during 1919 whilst he was meditating and fasting. Reiki is now a universally accepted method of Healing Energy which can be used for Self, Other People, Plants, Animals and Situations. Reiki will certainly seek the source of discomfort, helping to relieve the symptoms of stress and "dis-ease" within the physical body, whilst simultaneously addressing the spiritual aspects through Metaphysics and looking at the origins of the "Dis-ease".
